You mention the existing RVU factor following that comment about what you anticipate in the way of government decisions. I took that to mean that you are anticipating RVUs being involved in said government decisions.

I'm just saying we don't need government doing what Medicare now does -- which is to fix the pricing for given procedures.

I really would hate to see a Senate committee saying, "Okay, United Health, you're not allowing enough (or you're allowing too much)" for a particular CPT code. Medicare already does this on a sizable portion of the health care business, and even given the complaints about us spending too much on health care, there is no way a provider can make a living on the rates Medicare pays.
