I love this crap. The "fact" is, I just renewed my license at the DMV in like 15 minutes. Could've done it by mail if I'd wanted to. I do wish, that the office were a lot easier to get to (the elevator is always packed and slow), but that's the fault of the private ownership of the building.

The only time I've ever had a problem with the DMV was due to a private insurance company.

In December, I picked up my license tabs....it took 5 minutes. Before that, I had to have my catalytic converter inspected and tested......it took 20 minutes.....the longest I have ever had to wait. The guy apologized....he explained they were short staffed that day. Nonetheless, in less than an hour, I had gotten both done......and the two sites are 5-10 miles apart.

Inode is talking his book...nothing more, nothing less.

Same here. Yet it is supposed to be common knowledge that the DMV is universally broken.

I guess it is what puts the 'nut' in 'wingnut'...
