Everyone is always eager to see America reinvent itself, yet again. The Ronald Reagan scheme of spending more money than you have, and pretending that lower taxes would magically solve this problem, is now recognized as a fraud. The Peron's in Argentina previously tried this scheme, as did John Law in France with disastrous results. But Reagan found new naive believers in this nonsense around the world. Now discredited, Americans have abandoned Reaganism and are in the process of becoming something new. New values quickly learned, with some reference to our distant past. And new ways of living invented. This is what America does best. It's a process which wouldn't even be possible in most nations of the world. .
