What we think is that government CAN be run well, there are examples where it IS

Very, very few -- and for very short periods of time only. IT would be very difficult to point to an agency of the federal government which has performed well on a consistent basis. I doubt there is one.

It is obvious that, for example, when government can transition from leadership of George Bush to the abject socialism and incompetence represented by Obama, no government agency can perform well.

So we go from having competent leadership at DOJ and Treasury, for example, to having criminals running both departments. Government is never going to function well when such radical changes can happen at the whim of an uninformed electorate.

Private enterprise has its problems but does generally have a profit motive to keep it functioning well.
