I think a good start would be to require delisting of any company having a subsidiary in a known "tax evasion" country or territory... it would curb a lot of tax abuse.

Of course, this will never happen. The pigmen would have a hissy fit, and would lobby their congressional lackeys to prevent any such action.

"But what reason other than evasion could there be for Goldman Sachs Group to set up three subsidiaries in Bermuda, five ..."

Tell me it ain't true, please. Is that where the money went?

Why is Obama sending troops to Afgan instead of Cayman,
bermuda ... those tax evasion entities.

What is wrong with these people, can't they do the right
thing for the country, at least for once in awhile ? Tell me
they ain't all in it together, and I would never believe it
until real change is evidenced in a short time.

OMG, can't believe those 'facts', are they really facts.
How long have that been going on ? For Christ sake, OMG,
what is going on in this country, who is running the country,
nobody it seems. Everyone just takes turns to loot.

You need to study tax law. This is not tax evasion. All these places under their tax laws allow the subsidiary to be taxed only on the profits in the jurisdiction where the profits are generated unlike the US which has a universal tax law. So to lower ones tax rate which is perfectly legal you incorporate in areas which have sensible tax laws. This is not evasion but tax planning and every corporation does it.

evasion implies "illegal" correct?

The companies are playing by the rules, if the rules need to be changed, then change them.

Ask yourself why a lot of corporations are incorporated in Delaware or Nevada....
