FPG, I think you need to think this one out a little bit more. All the accusations over the years were that Intel was inherently evil and that evil started at the top and permeated every level of the company. One had visions of an Austin Powers movie where Dr Evil was in charge and every person in the company was evil as a condition of employment. There may have even an evil test to get in. If it can not be shown that the evil plans to exclude AMD came from the top or at least with the consent and approval of the top level management, then the AMD fantasy of the evil empire crumbles. Remember, the SEC findings against AMD showed that the plan to steal Intel IP and the subsequent filing of false documents and false statements, press releases etc were with the full knowledge and consent of top level management. Would you be satisfied with any less if Intel eventually loses one of the court cases? Surely a $15,000 fine rather than drag their valued customers into court hardly rises to the level of vindication of the many characterizations of Intel as the evil empire, although there is one poster here who thinks so, I'll leave it to the judgment of readers to decide if they agree. Should there be an indication that the acts of a rogue employee were responsible for actions found to be illegal, where will that leave you? Will you feel that all the outrageous accusations have been proven, or will you still need to see upper management's hide nailed to the wall? Remember, AMD's upper level management were found to be liars and thieves. Would you settle for less from Intel?
