Atin, Thank you! I for one will be an avid reader of this thread, though due to my lack of expertise, I don't know how much I'll post, but I will certainly contribute any articles that I find regarding IT tech. I hope you will continue to post to the FTEL thread as I've enjoyed your contributions. I feel this will be a valuable resource to all SI members interested in IT technology, as a resource to pool expertise and knowledge.

As a long time (term) holder of FTEL, I have enjoyed your posts on the (FTEL) thread and appreciate your timely and educated comments about the stock. We certainly do hope it will continue its upward movement after the demo on Monday night. ]
Your idea to open a new thread concerning telephony should be an interesting one as many (not me) are well versed and deeply concerned about this new phase in communications for the world to use and enjoy.
I will be a lurker for the most part.

Thanks

Bill

Atin:

Don't be discouraged from posting on the FTEL thread. We all realize that there is competition, and there is nothing wrong with analyzing the competition. This thread is a good idea, a place to
evaluate all of the companies/products in this sector.

I believe that any concerns of financial strength (re FTEL) will be
answered shortly. As far as marketing is concerned, Frank Peters
does have a lot of relationships in which he will build on. I
really don't see that as a concern...yet. The main test will be
the demo. We have had a few shareholders who have already used
the Tempest, and if there opinions are accurate, Franklin should
get a nice slice of the pie. Considering that the Tempest was
announced only about 1.5 months ago, they have a nice start with
the 2.5 million dollar order. Additionally, I believe they have
a few aces in the hole, with a few other companies continuing to
evaluate the Tempest...Globalcom, among others.

Thanks for continuing to try to educate everyone on this topic.
