My great-grandfather was the head of the Hatfield clan (a hillbilly who had gone to med school). He ended the Hatfield-McCoy feud and stated to his family that they'd never talk of the feud again. My grandmother had never heard of the feud until she went to college and was told of it by a friend. (Note: this is all true). I have no idea to what this relates, but it is still kinda interesting.

Jack Geraghty of CS First Boston was on CNBC Friday. He pointed out that
normally, chip companmies spend 20-22% of revenues for capital equipment, but that
number has gone up to 29% in the last 2 years. He characterized 16M DRAM pricing
at 4.10 as "just plain awful". He also said that 12% of industry spending comes from
Intel. Overall, he sounded pretty intelligent, and is a name worth remembering.

i've posted 4 different sources for dram being BELOW achilles $4.35.

can you post one article saying it is higher? you've awful quite ;-)

seriously, dave, i do take great steps to find reality, fully understanding
that i never really will know it exactly. but i do try and learn.
if the reality is that dram turns up then i will be the
first to point this out.

btw, i'm glad i haven't had to worry about that problem.

HOW LOW CAN YOU GO DRAM PRICING ;-)

as an aside i'd like to point out a screaming inconsistency with many bulls.
when a stock is advancing they say "the trend is your friend." when it is
falling, you don't here such statements.

if i'm ever being inconsistent, point it out. i really want to know so i can better
interpret reality.
