TideGlider,
The first time you posted on SI were you solicited to do so? Just wondering.
Instead of attacking the messenger lets discuss the issues. If you find anything wrong with my assumptions on 8X8 please tell me where I'm wrong.I beg to differ but about my remarks being sarcastic( I try to post with a little humor so as not to alienate thinned skin people). Sarcastic no, factual yes.(IMO)
As for my original post on CYMER,you should note that I did not mention CYMER's product line. I was very upfront about this and so as to remove this issue from discussion , let me state categorically CYMER has WONDERFUL products. The best in the industry and with no peers. As far as JMAR, to the best of my knowledge they have not sold one product that competes with CYMER and if they do it will be many years down the road. My points were about the industry as a whole. If you would reread my original post you will note that I cite FORE Systems and Cisco. To the best of my knowledge they are not competing with JMAR. My investment in JMAR had nothing to do with CYMER. So lets move beyond that side issue.

If you find fault with anything I said in my original post please tell me and don't let it be that I'm trashing CYMER. I'm not trashing any company but just trying to point out that CYMER and the semiconductor companies are not operating in a vacuum. With the best product in the world you still have to have someone to buy it to make a profit. Look at the issues and don't fault the person that is merely trying to offer dialogue. A point in example is the poster who faulted the New York Times for not explaining about the increased capacity would not hurt margins and growth. Please! It was CYMER's CFO stating that growth would slowdown. Not the New York Times.
Let me explain it this way. If CYMER goes to 100 I'm happy. If CYMER goes to 10 I'm happy. If CYMER goes to 100 you are happy. If CYMER goes to 10 because of my observations you are sad. Two happies to one happy makes me the winner(:>)
