"stop writing checks you can't cash."

He came into office with $1.7 trillion in rubber cheques, already written. He has promises to keep. Should he abandon his promises because his predecessor left the cupboard bare?

Gutted his programs before he even had a chance?

One party gets to run the country into a financial madhouse laden with debt. The other gets to clean up the mess and abandon its programs?

Is that how it works?

Jim
