Yes, Welcome Tom. Most of us have just morphed over here, and stayed over the years. Personally, I view SI like a whole little town, with lots of houses and cafes. Each thread is one of those little dwellings where we gather and discuss various issues of the day, or talk about cars, household hints, laugh at jokes, kick at some of the political shenanigans, or whatever happens to cross our minds. This place we call GITS is like that. We have a great deal of fun, lots of laughs, share our tears, and sometimes just let some steam off….As Josh has said, we are friends. Welcome!

That must a beautiful book....Some of the books published in the 1800's are truly art pieces, to say nothing of what the words and pictures say.
