I read Ian's comments about SVGI and it is true that SVGI operates in a separate niche from AMAT. While AMAT is #1 or #2 in most of its markets, SVGI has ~10% of the photolithography market. They have tremendous potential (probably the highest in the semi-equip group along with UTEK), but the risk is the highest. They fit in a more diversified portfolio than "the best 5." COHR has a subsidiary called Lambda-Physik which is hoping to compete with CYMI in the photolithography DUV laser source market. Forget Varian and Watkins-Johnson unless you want to expand to the "best 50."
