Capitalism took off in a wrong direction since the late 90s and i include clinton admin in this as well as bush. Certainly repair must include the govt because govt ultimately foots the bill. So yes Virginia it is a socialism of sorts. Do we go back to a positively reformed capitalism that works or do we go to more and more govt involvement? Needless to say the jury is out on that one which it would be if McCain was president as well. I am for return to capitalism but recognize it might take some time until the ship is righted. I think that is the stance of the obama admin as well. Derivatives, 200-1 pay disparities, health care reform, SS fix, and a whole host of other things need to be dealt with.
