He asked me this:

What's the take by you, your friends, SI, any other sources on Obama and what he is likely to do?

I know President Bush started this bailout business. If he'd been true to his supposed convictions, he'd have let Citi, WaMu,etc., be seized by the FDIC, wound up,and let new banks take their place in time. GM and Chrysler would go to the wall. No one bails me out of a bad trade; if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Let capitalism's creative destruction do its work.

Does it bother anyone when the chief of a US political party essentially fires the CEO of "private" (yeah, they drank from the well of gov't pollution) corporation and insists on most of its Board being replaced? If Wagoner is not safe, who is? Are you? Me?

(I find his timing of this interesting. Reminds me of The Saturday Night Massacre - except he got away with it.)

My initial response included a statement that President Bush 43 was never a fiscal conservative, only a social conservative. I did not write this to Laz, but basically B43 was a Reagan Republocrat.
