BTW, the price of $6900 Thai Baht is a little less than $190USD. If anyone is going to be going near Khonkaen, Thailand and is interested I'll let you know where this little guitar shop is.

Just walking around you can hear live music into the late night on almost any Thai street with open restaurants and pubs. A surprisingly common sight. A young population, Thai's love music, eating and drinking seven nights/week like no other culture. Very guitar-centric, youthful rock & roll, original and covers. Many cover songs in English, even though very, very little English is understood. A few western bands play in larger Bangkok clubs, mostly from England and Australia.

Of course >75 degrees Fahrenheit 365 nights/year helps drive the nighttime culture and endorphins.
