michael, Blaming unions for this mess we are in is just too easy Joe. It aint that simple and i am no fan of unions either. Let's see what changed from just prior to last labor agreement was signed: 1. Energy costs have gone down 2. Labor costs have gone up So while the energy costs have gone down the labor costs escalated so much that it will take a massive infusion from Albany and 25% hike in fares to balance the budget. If it is not the unions, you must know about a gigantic leak that is consuming >25% of MTA revenue... Joe
