Silicon Graphics's strong hold area has been invaded by cheaper
Window NT. Today, SGI is going to release its quarterly report.
The impact on enterprise by Window NT has been gradually
significant to affect the companies who manufacture workstations.
Apple's Rhapsody (or Unity) will be here to take the advantage
of the current situation. The reasons are:

- Rhapsody is a Unix system;
- Apple's strong users' base;
- Rhapsody will be cheaper than most of Unix workstations;
- Will be ported on PowerPC, Intel's, and other hardware platforms;
- Should be easier to port from other Unix or NT platforms;
- DOJ starts to focus on WinTel's monoply situation based on
Washington Post's reports. Federal Government needs to do
something to prevent the current situation from getting worse;
- Possibility of closer cooperation between Rhapsody and NT.
