thanks. that makes this much more fair than i previously thought and I think we have to be careful with raising rates on all tax levels. Someone supports an algorithmic progressive tax which changes the rate on each dollar earned. Said to be kinder to high earners but not on folks making high six fig and above. Its sort of an alternative to fair tax or flat tax although at the end of the day they all seem to hit the same folks harder at the very top.

Just about all of the problems are on the spending side, yet they keep tweaking the tax code hoping for miracle. The end result is a convoluted, ever changing mess.

The funny thing is that the latest "victim" of tax problems in Obama adiministration would probably not have the tax problem if there was a simple, low flat tax, rather than convoluted collection of higher rates with million incentives and deductions...
