Fine, but I believe you overstate his contribution to the current economic mess.......a bit unfairly I might add. And I am no fan of Bill Clinton.

I don't think it's unfair. Bush was certainly worse. No doubt. But the Dems have certainly been influenced by the banksters over the last 15 years or so.


I am going to have to knitpick. The word you used to describe Clinton's contribution to the current economic mess wass "huge". IMO that word describes Bush's contribution. With Clinton, I think that word is an exaggeration considering that his contribution was signing off on two bills that would have passed with or without his signature.

And let's not forget the subprime debacle which started the current economic crisis rolling occurred mostly if not completely under Bush's watch. In fact, credit swaps and CDOs didn't really flourish until well into the Bush administration.

As for banksters influencing Dems, you're probably right but I don't see how that contributed significantly to the current economic mess.
