Yes absentee ballots most often break for the Republican.

Perhaps....

(Certainly with a margin that narrow, and thousand sof absentee ballots yet to even be opened, the election could easily swing either way....)

However, isn't this particular district a bit 'Republican-leaning? (For New York state, anyway....)

Although Obama carried the district last Fall, I understand that Republicans have the *largest* advantage there in registered voters of ANY congressional district in the state.
