Re: "Steven's case" Very curious. (Almost as if the appeal had been deliberately spiked... though only a conspiracy nut would ever entertain thoughts like those.... :-) Let's see: the government wins SEVEN felony convictions against Stevens (re-proving the old wisdom that lying in the 'cover-up phase' is usually worse then whatever the original offenses were...) and then, on APPEAL, the government gets chastised by a federal judge for failing to turn certain information over to the defense in a timely way... and then the government decides to DROP their defense of the convictions they won? Well... (since it ain't a 'conspiracy') it must have been some Hellaciously bad prosecutorial misconduct!
