They use a 13-week moving average crossover as the manual says. The latest VV views indicates caution. GNRL has been top pick three times out of last 8 weeks. Their pick of KEG was untimely short-term since the oil group was extended. The oil group has held up so far compared to market.

CatLady, I tried V V for 5 wks before I finally bought one year service and I found it very valuable for me. I have been able to pick the right stocks based on its reconmmendation. If you follow the recommendation and carefully examine the parameters, such as RT, RS, GPE and stop, l am sure you will find it profitable. As you have correctly pointed out, it is excellent for mid to long time hold and more importantly, it is perfect for knowing when to sell.

Hi CatLady - I'm still digesting VectorVest and trying to decide how it fits in and how good it is. Mostly, I think it is an adjustment for me since I tend to trade very short term (1 to 3 days). For this time frame, I don't, so far, think VV is particularly suited.

I'll post more when I've used it a while and followed some of the picks.

Regards,

Trader Spud

CatLady,

Do you still use VectorVest for long term buy-and-hold investing? If so, I'd like to share some strategies with you. Thanks.
