Does LTE really make more sense than WiMax, or is this just more meaningless PD [product differentiation] that ensures lack of interoperability and American consumers getting the short end of the stick relative to India, Israel, Europe, Japan and Korea?

Wouldn't even a third-best standard that all operators agree upon be better than a first and second best standard that half the cariers agree upon?

Does Obama get network economics? Should he push for a single nationwide wireless broadband standard?
