And Intel boosters don't know the meaning of the word validated. They think that all you have to do is offer something and its immediately purchased by everyone. Sorry, that is a dream world. Especially for servers. And far from the truth for mission critical servers. Those people test and test and test some more until they are satisfied. Its their asses on the line, if something fails. So they set a high bar for verification and successfully completing that verification is called by the word validated. And that takes time and lots of it. Do you think this could have delayed the acceptance of Opteron?

We and our core customers extensively confirmed this new micro-architecture prior to its launch - which enabled us at AMD to gain significant market share and customer kudos with our wildly successful - and validated - Barcelona, the first native quad core x86-64 CPU.
