re: Barcelona was a triumph of admitting a problem and then fixing it.

ha that's a funny choice of works. Like how every time the space shuttle catastrophically explodes, NASA triumphs by admitting to their customers that there seems to have been a problem. Like that sort of triumph?

I would submit that the NOT making of a long series of near-catastrophic managerial and engineering decisions would have been a nicer idea in the "triumph" department for AMD (and us poor beleaguered customers and shareholders) rather than just the good show of admitting to it later.

Let me know when AMD are ready to try out more of the former variety of triumphs. More of that behavior would make them a better investment.

Re: "Manly Dirk ... Barcelona was a triumph of admitting a problem and then fixing it."

Congratulations, you have taken the first step in your "AMD Addiction" recovery. <ggg>

Now how about opining on the disastrous ATI purchase ... See this gets easier
Dear Pete with each admission of AMD incompetence. BTW, there is no charge for
my services. <ggg>
