It seems that some PEP shareholders are concern that
its share pricing is "depreciating". If one takes the
current market conditions and sentiments into
consideration, I get the distinct impression that PEP
is more than holding its own. If you owned a share
(of PEP) prior to spinng off YUM, the value of that
share is worth as of 10/24/97:

(1 share PEP = $37.375) + (0.1 share YUM = $ 3.300) = $40.675

To my recollection, PEP was trading in the high twenties at
the end of 1996. If one includes the dividends, one can see
PEP has appreciated nicely.
