Anyone - Some analysts say that capital spending on equipment will be curtailed because of higher financing costs in Asia (interest rates) and some say that since the purchase of equipment is dollar denominated, equipment sales will not be significantly hurt. Is it not true that regardless if sales are dollar denominated or Taiwanese denominated, the currency has to be translated from Taiwanese currency into dollars and therefore will cost significantly more to build a fab over there in the near future. I don't know and wondered if anyone had input. Also, how could the two analysts' sides be so contrary.

Thanks
Dave
