Reagan did some good by dismantling something awful. Since then there has been lots of grass roots relationship building. I've noticed a huge influx of Russian immigrants. Russian politics have changed in a way that created some fertile ground for new and better relationships between us. Clinton just tried to maintain a status quo. Bush took a hard line with regards to negotiations, which may have created a longing for change and a willingness to get along.

Which paved the way for a golden opportunity if Obama doesn't play patsy to the ruskies. Let's hope for the best.
