Would Alberto Gonzales? Remember....he allowed patently illegal hiring practices to go on within the Justice Department...conducted by direct reports. His successor had to fall on his sword in complete admission of the illegality and the department ended up paying settlements and eating a lot of crow.

I'd like to think Alberto Gonzales would have done the right thing...but his record at Justice raises at least a question.
