Yes.

But remember: the only thing that really matters in this regard is the long-term trend in money supply (and the public *perception* of what the long-term trend is going to be....)

Because --- in the short-run, in the here-and-now, SIGNIFICANTLY MORE MONEY (because of the fractional banking system that our economy functions with) HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE GLOBAL ECONOMIES because of the financial collapse and credit freeze-up... then *all* the money that has yet been injected back into the economies via way of government stimulus around the world.

That is why we do not have inflation at this moment, but are still struggling with falling prices.
