1) stock of capital is Transgenerational. The next generation inherits wealth created by the preceding one.

2) Debt is transgenerational as the next generation inherits the debts of the preceding one.

(I hope Elroy doesn't ready that to say he did not understand the issues under discussion)

The case Nr. 1) is the houses, roads, railways, steel mills, technologies, oil fields the Robber Barons left for the Americans of the 1920s onwards to benefit from.

The case Nr. 2 is the pension funds obligations, the health care commitments the babyboomers are leaving for the next generations to pay for.
