First, I don't agree that we know for sure that we're headed back to global cooling. I think the small oscillations are the sunspots, which run in 11 year cycles. The bigger oscillations are the ebbing and flowing of CO2 levels. I also believe that humans have become a force that can alter climate through its own actions, CO2 emissions specifically. I don't think we can alter climate so much that the earth dies. But I do think we can alter climate enough to move it faster in a the warming direction, which could lead to catastrophic consequences for humans.

We simply need to be watchful and continue analyzing the data and seeking more data to confirm or disprove our suspicions.
