Fantastic pictures. Isn't technology great? We don't have to wait for you to get home, load up the slide projector, and sit through a 2 hour recap of your trip. LOL So glad you're safe. The reports here about the earthquake say it was pretty bad.

I spent 1/2 hour going through your albums last night. Really brings Italy a little closer to home. Certainly reinforces my desire to go some day. Thanks! Oh........and...........ironic you had to go to Italy to experience a large earthquake. Glad you two are OK, but next time maybe you could make a smaller splash in the Continent? GG

Could you explain all of the stuff in the middle of the Coliseum please. I thought it was a place were chariots raced, but from the many pictures I've seen it looks like there were apts inside on the ground level..........or even underground. Maybe I'd better wiki it?
