I try to take the trouble to say something like that when I see a veteran with an identifying hat or some other notice. I'm the one who is moved, though.

I try to thank ever veteran I meet. Even the loony leftie veterans. I thanked a VN vet last year at a Memorial Day party and I could see that he was shocked. A lot of people believe that is was only a few VN vets that were treated poorly when they returned. I don't have any statistics..........how would anyone know unless each of them were contacted and told their story.
