Is the K6@233mhz priced 25% lower than the P5MMX@233mhz ... the answer is NO. Actually your source shows the K6 part priced about $100 more than the comparable Intel CPU. This indicates to me that the supplies are still very tight and AMD doesn't want to sell very many ... even though this type of pricing will dramatically helped the "blended ASP" !!

I think you're assuming that it is AMD that is raising the prices....I can't say I know the exact details, but I would wager there are quite a few middle men between AMD and a retail outlet that advertises on PriceWatch....If supplies are low, it is most likely the middlemen that are raising their prices to the retail outlets who raise the prices to the consumer......hence these higher prices may not be helping AMD's ASP at all (unfortunately..).

Is the "news" that good ... or ... are you a "little" biased ??!!

I think we can all agree that everyone is just a "little" biased towards their particular investment, everyone wants to make money (the comonality that brings us all to these forums..)
