Of course, you're right! Insurance companies have moved to being in the business of insuring the healthiest people they can find, and denying coverage for as many of their customers as humanly possible.

Which is NO WAY to run a health system. We need to REMOVE, as much as possible, the profit motive from health care. Health should not be a commodity.

Z, if we're going to move to universal health care, I'd like to have the choice to go with a private insurance provider. Just like with universal K-12 education, people have the choice to go with a private school. Same with the post office. People have the choice to use FedEx, UPS, etc.

You on the other hand want to set up a government-run monopoly. That's just wrong on so many levels.
