This is not my area of expertise, so somebody correct me if I'm wrong--I believe that AOL can only handle about 500,000 subscribers at a time, at least this is the number that is generally thrown around. Even 4 or 5 million subscribers would create some system overload during peak hours, so I don't see how this proves anything about subscriber count. When the shit hits the fan, I think we'll all be surprised at how quickly subscribers evaporate.
