Well... that could be damn near ANYTHING.

I mean, a plain jane bank Certificate of Deposit is technically a "derivative" because it is 'derived from' (i.e., created from, backed by) something else, in this case Treasury Bills or Guaranteed Insurance Contracts.

But... that doesn't help me much because what I need to know is HOW MUCH of the potentially TOXIC 'DERIVATIVE' STUFF is on Morgan's books... not how much 'safe' or 100% hedged stuff they have....
