The silly spending continues...a road to no where?

I was in a pre-construction meeting this morning and the city manager was irate. It turns out that the project is including road not only leading to the city but also IN the city which is in very good condition.

When the construction planning map was put up on the wall he said, "that includes street in my city which does not need repair". I want that money to go to streets that actually need it...

Sorry replied the state official, the feds want us to extend this job.

I understand that this problem is being repeated across the country and instead of local roads getting more important repairs, the FEDS have decided what gets done...

I believe this complaint shall become more vocal and publicized as the weeks go by...our "government" at work wasting our money...
