I get tingles up my spine and shoulders when I explore old cabins, ruins of houses, fallen down graveyards and special places in the woods where I perceive some kind of 'presence' of spirits of people or events that had passed through.

No doubt I would do the same in places like the Pyramids and the Coliseum.

Go for it!

I thought that same thing when I saw Smithee's pics of the old buildings in Roma.

My grandson loved it and had to buy a small replica of it which was a shocker..I thought he would buy a horse or a Roman soldier, but he wanted the real thing..

Technology changes and humanity does not. Folks then were much like ourselves.

I think I'd get tingles up my leg standing in such an ancient place. I would hope to internally visualize the world 2000 yrs ago. "See" actual people sitting in the stands. "Hear" the roar of the crowds.

It's quite amazing to walk on paved pathways that you know were walked by people 2,000 years ago. Quite a humbling experience.
