That's reality because we've passed laws to make it reality.

Drug manufacturers have to be able to produce a certain return on investment in order to support capital formation. Some countries can pay it, others can't.

That's not reality. Many countries can afford to pay a lot more for drugs. The market for drugs has evolved to a national market.. with governments negotiating with the drug companies. The US is the outlier... so we are the market distortion.

If the US paid "world market prices" through negotiation the drug companies would have to raise prices across the board. Not exactly a shocking concept in a capitalist marketplace.

What other product categories would like to pay more to subsidize the Europeans?

What a dumb fuk.
