Are there any teenagers these days, sitting on the edge of their bed with real guitars, for eight or ten hours straight, learning, jamming, playing along with records, as Eddie Van Halen once described his childhood? There are definitely kids doing that. The explosion in ease of creation has created a lot of bad music, but it has also created a lot more good music. Even somebody creating something classified as "bad" by most would still be involved in a healthy process. Wouldn't it be killer to have a worldwide "Battle of the Bands" instead of the normal blow the other guy up battle.
