Faux Pas was on my 6th grade daughter's English vocabulary list a few weeks ago. I shouldn't have mis-spelled it, but spelling errors don't indicate what you suggest. While pointing out spelling errors is a common face saving device on these discussion threads ... I don't remember seeing anyone use that device who was doing well otherwise.
