We just don't approve of paying 10X what we should be for the Part D drugs, Dave. I'm sure Obama will fix that as part of universal health care.

It is interesting that you are gung ho about having Obama run this decade of $10T in deficits, but you have a problem with providing Rx drugs for Medicare patients at relatively insignificant cost.

Obama inherited the vast, vast majority of those deficits from Bush. It happens to every Dem when he follows a Republican into office... their cross to bear. Obama is doubly blessed with inheriting what was looking to be a depression... which he may just have avoided with some smart, quick and conservative maneuvering.

I do have a problem with tax dollars ballooning the profits at drug companies that live off the pure research of universities and government, and market 'me too' and sometimes dangerous drugs to a gullible public with feel good TV advertising. It didn't used to be that way.... Docs used to make drug decisions.
