Hydropower? Why? Apparently you aren't aware of the fact that 1/3 of annual global man made green house gases is methane generated from rotting vegetation in the bottom of hydro electric reservoirs. Sit back and think about all the vegetation within the drainage basin of any reservoir and how much of it gets washed in on an annual basis, rotting and bubbling to the surface as methane gas. Methane is 8 times as potent a greenhouse gas as C02. If Obama wants to make a significant green house gas reduction, shut down the hydroelectric reservoirs and build more nuclear plants.

Hydropower is fine. But greens won't let any more dams be built. The dams we have now could never be built today.
