Appeasement essentially means giving someone something so they don't do something negative. What are we afraid of from gays that makes us want to give them the ability to get married?

This streaming resentment expressed toward heterosexuals especially core family types goes more to the heart of the issue IMO.

I'm sorry but the resentment seems to be all on your side of the equation. And like I said before, no one wins in a democracy when the rights of some are denied.
