Apparently many over 40 are pretty scared by it despite the fact that they don't know what it is. What it actually is does kind of scare me, and I'd like to prevent it from happening.

The more i think about that Rasmussen poll, the more it represents a failure of the right.

The textbook definition of socialism is government ownership and control of the means of production. Virtually nobody is in favor of that.

But the right decided to label everything liberal as socialism: public education, social security, medicare, the EPA, OSHA, minimum wage, you name it.

Well the public likes those things. So it was only a matter of time till the public concluded, "maybe i like socialism."

Which is the exact opposite of what the right was trying to accomplish.
