"What's left is the religious connotations. Some people get hung up on that. What you call hung up, other people call religious freedom. Why do you care what other people believe? "So let them pressure their own religion not to allow gay marriage in their church." I'm pretty sure they are already free to do that, without you and I 'letting' them. "Not the business of the state.... you would think the 'conservatives' on this thread would appreciate that." I am conservative and I do appreciate that. I am also liberal depending on the issue. You are one of the folks who wants to make gay marriage 'legal' (a business of the state). I think civil unions does that too but I don't care. So what do you really want?
