Well, Ted, my brother is an outstanding musician, and a fair singer. He plays about seven instruments, but his main one is the fiddle. Perhaps because of that, I always preferred instrumentals. I know the work that goes into it. I've never like pop music, which is what Idol features. The music industry in America way too often promotes mediocre talents that look good. Brittney Spears is a perfect example. Let me tell you, there are thousands of brilliant talented musicians out there playing for chump change for every Brittney Spears. Its entertainment. I watch it to be entertained. Please.......there is enough politics in the world without making music a political harangue.
