I'm not sure I'd even vote for myself - as so many issues are not something I cover to any depth. I do try to keep close to some pretty basic American guiding principles of law and fair play. For me the gun issue was one I probably ran with the herd more before I owned firearms for myself and learned about them and wondered why the laws were so weird. In fact some of the last AWB was blatant pandering with no actual effect on crime. Due to that experience I try to examine the real effect of the change more than the perceived or hyped change of most new laws.
